Alumnae Conduct the ‘First Connect’ Session with the Outgoing Girl Students at Chikkaballapur Campus

Dear brothers & sisters, Happy New Year!!

There was excitement in the air, as few of our alumnae sisters visited the Prashanthi Bala Mandira, Chikkaballapur campus on 31st December, 2016 for the First Steps First Connect Programme.

We had a very nice session over 2 hours with the 10th standard girls. The session was based on the 3 messages-
1. Who we are and how they can leverage the alumnae network when they come out.
2. How to manage transition into the outside world.
3. How to stay connected with Swami and leverage what they have learnt in the institutions, proudly as their strengths.

It was wonderful to listen to our alumnae sisters, 6 of them in total who shared their experiences and gave practical examples to the girls how to stay connected, be in good company, follow Swami’s teachings and involve themselves in service and selfless activities. It was an eye-opener session for the teachers as they are now clear on our role and the part we play in His mission. Overall the students and staff were very happy, inspired and motivated to be part of this holy mission. We ended the session with bhajan antakshari,  songs and classical dance as the girls were looking forward to more.

We also had a separate conversation with the Principal later, who requested the alumnae to conduct English speaking classes for the teachers. And also to have orientation sessions about Swami for the teachers as not all are sai devotees.

We thank Swami for helping us take the first step for more such sessions to follow.
